Questions people ask
- What actually happens to my photo?
- A real person reviews your request, then an AI image model generates your artwork from your photo and your description. Nothing is printed until you approve the result. Your original photo is permanently deleted as soon as you approve, and the generated image is deleted six months after your order completes. The full schedule is in our Biometric Information Retention & Destruction Policy, and the terms you agree to are in our Terms of Service.
- Do you use my photos to train AI?
- No — and neither does the image provider we use. They don't retain your photo after generating your artwork, and they don't train on it. We don't sell your content either, and we don't treat biometric information as a data asset. See the Privacy Policy.
- Can I upload a photo with other people in it?
- Only if you have their permission. Because we process faces, you need each identifiable person's authorization — including for biometric processing where the law requires it. If someone in a photo asks us to delete it, we will. See section 4 of the Terms of Service.
- What if I don't like the result?
- Tell us what to change — you can request changes up to three times, and nothing prints until you're happy. If we still haven't got it right, a person will contact you directly.
- Can I cancel?
- Yes — any time before your order goes into production, straight from your account. You get a full refund and your photos are deleted immediately. Once production has started we can't cancel it automatically, because the item is being physically made for you, but contact us and we'll work it out.
- What can't I ask for?
- Anything reproducing specific elements of a copyrighted work — characters, costumes, logos, distinctive settings. The style of a genre is fine; recognisable protected elements are not. Also no real public figures, and nothing explicit or unlawful. We review every image before you see it.
- What photo works best?
- Any photo where the people are clearly visible. Sharper is better, but social-media and messaging-app downloads work fine. Location data is stripped from your photo on your own device before it's uploaded.
